Realtor Lifestyle Portraits With Zebras Near Sacramento CA

Some shoots stand out—and this was definitely one of them.

I recently worked with realtor Cheryl Nightingale at her newest listing in Ione, California, Oak Hill Preserve—a safari-inspired property where zebras and ostriches roam freely across the land. Set on expansive acreage, the estate blends luxury living with a truly unique, experience-driven environment that immediately sets it apart from anything else in Northern California.

As a Sacramento photographer, this shoot leaned far beyond standard listing images. Cheryl’s goal was to create bold, lifestyle portraits and editorial realtor photos she could use for billboard advertising and alternative marketing. We approached it like a brand shoot, capturing natural, confident moments that highlighted both her presence and the property itself.

Incorporating the animals into the frame added an unexpected edge, turning what could have been traditional realtor headshots into something much more dynamic and memorable. The result is a collection of lifestyle portraits that not only market the home, but also elevate Cheryl’s personal brand in a competitive market.

This is the kind of creative direction that makes a difference—imagery that tells a story, grabs attention, and sticks with people long after they’ve seen it.
