My Morning Jacket at the Greek Theater in Berkeley CA
As a last minute request, I was able to obtain a photo pass to photograph concert photos for rock and roll band My Morning Jacket at the Hearst Greek Theater in Berkeley CA, about 30 min outside of San Francisco. I’ve seen My Morning Jacket a couple times… once at BottleRock in Napa and a few days later at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Those times I wasn’t able to enjoy the show as much because I working the music festival, so only had a few snaps of them before going back on assignment, and I was stuck in the back of the room for the Fillmore. But this show created a new experience for me. Not only did I get seats for this one, I was able to shoot in the pit and have the luck of Jim James and Carl Broemel walk in front of me for their guitar solos… the lighting, the song choices, the venue all made for a magical night of music. In love with these images and am happy to have made it to the blog for this one.
