Kaylin + Carter’s Coastal Wedding on Their Private Estate in Bayside California

Kaylin and Carter were married on their private estate in Bayside, California, framed by the raw, untamed beauty of the California Lost Coast. Their wedding day unfolded with an understated elegance—intimate, emotional, and deeply personal—where every moment felt rooted in meaning and connection. It was a celebration that honored both their story and the land they call home.

Kaylin and Carter’s story goes back to childhood. They grew up together playing sports, their families closely connected, and even crossed paths with Carter as Kaylin’s soccer coach. After losing touch for a time, they reconnected in 2020 and built a relationship rooted in shared adventures—hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoors together, even through the COVID years. Carter proposed in 2024 on their property, making it especially meaningful that they chose the same place to begin their marriage.

The ceremony took place on the couple’s land, centered around a small pond and bridge they built specifically for the occasion. Rustic wooden chairs framed the front rows, while hay bales topped with vintage blankets offered relaxed seating for guests, perfectly matching the setting. A large barn served as a western-inspired lounge and bar, and dinner was held under a tent adorned with garlands, greenery, and warm summer florals.

Kaylin got ready at Carter’s family home overlooking the coast before the couple shared their first look on the property. As sunset approached, the familiar coastal fog rolled in, creating a moody, cinematic backdrop for portraits. Just before nightfall, the clouds lifted and the sun reappeared, giving guests a final burst of golden light before the party continued.

The dance floor stayed full well into the night, fueled by flowing drinks, twinkle lights, and a large bonfire where guests gathered to warm up and enjoy late-night snacks. Kaylin and Carter even changed into bride and groom sweatpants to rejoin the dancing, fully embracing the joyful, relaxed energy of the evening.

This beautiful day was thoughtfully coordinated and designed by Tan Weddings and Events, a team known for their elevated yet organic approach to wedding design. I work with them often, and their ability to balance style, flow, and genuine emotion always makes for an incredible experience.

Kaylin and Carter’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are—warm, grounded, and full of love—and I’m honored to have captured it.
